Deposit
A deposit is required at the time of booking, to be paid by electronic fund transfer. If you book more than 28 days before arrival, the non-refundable deposit will be 50% of the total cost of your booking. If you book 28 days or less before arrival you will be required to pay the full amount due for the whole of your stay to secure your booking. Please note that cash payments for deposit and/or outstanding balance may incur an additional cost in order for us to recover the appropriate bank charge.You may also pay by credit card.

Confirmation of Booking
Your booking will be completed when we acknowledge receipt of your booking request and deposit. Prior to that the booking will only be regarded as provisional.

Payment
We accept payment by electronic fund transfer. Payment for any outstanding balance for the cost of your accommodation will be payable 28 days prior to your arrival. . Payments for any extras purchased are payable in cash on departure. No cheques will be accepted on departure.

Cancellation by you
High Season:
If you cancel your reservation:

  • during your stay or less than 28 days prior to arrival you will be liable for 100% of the full account.
  • 29 days or more prior to your arrival you will be liable for 50% of the full account.
Mid and Low Season:
If you cancel your reservation:
  • during your stay or less than 7 days prior to arrival you will be liable for 100% of the full account.
  • 7 - 21 days prior to arrival, you will be liable for 80% of the full account.
  • 22 -28 days prior to arrival, you will be liable for 75% of the full account.
  • 29 days or more prior to your arrival you will be liable for 50% of the full account.

Cancellation by us
In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel your booking, due to circumstances beyond our control, we will attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If suitable accommodation is not available (or unacceptable to you) then we will refund all monies already paid by you and confirm that you will not be liable for any further payments to us.

Arrival and Departure
You will be able to check in between 14.30 and 18.00 on your day of arrival. Please phone in advance to advise of an estimated time of arrival, as our reception is not continually manned. Please advise as soon as possible if you need to arrive later than 18.00. We request that you vacate your room by 10.30 a.m. on the day of departure. If you fail to do so, we reserve the right to charge for an additional night's stay.

Damage and Breakage
We are sure that you will take care whilst you stay with us, and we acknowledge that accidents sometimes happen. We do however reserve the right to charge for any damage or breakages which we consider to be deliberately or recklessly caused, for any items discovered missing after you depart or for the cost of the room for any time period for which it is considered un-usable due to damage. You will receive an invoice for the charges to be settled on departure or, if the damage/breakages are discovered after you depart, you will be notified of any charges in writing as soon as is reasonably practicable, to be settled by return of post.

Smoking Policy
We are a No Smoking establishment. If we find that guests have been smoking in the room, or anywhere on the premises, then we reserve the right to ask you to leave immediately. You will remain liable for the whole of the cost of your stay. Whether or not you are asked to leave, we also reserve the right to charge a sum equivalent to one night's stay if we are unable to re-let the room for 24 hours whilst it is fully aired. In agreeing to our terms and conditions, you authorise us to charge this amount to the debit/ credit card used to secure the booking. You will receive an invoice for the charges to be settled on departure. If evidence of smoking is discovered after you depart, you will be notified of any charges in writing as soon as is reasonably practicable, to be settled by return of post.

Pets
For the sake of the wild animals and birds on the property, no pets are allowed.

Indemnity
On confirmation of your booking at Ke Nako Lodges, you confirm and agree:
  • To indemnify and undertake not to hold the owners of Ke Nako Lodges (hereafter called the accommodation) and/or :
  • any of itsí employees and/or
  • any other party appointed or contracted by the owner of the accommodation in connection with the activities and/or maintenance and or business of the accommodation liable for any :
    • loss
    • damage
    • cost
    • expenses
    • claims
    • injuries or food indisposition
    of whatsoever kind which you and/or your spouse and/or dependant(s) and/or guest(s) and/or employee(s) may suffer and/or incur, whether directly or indirectly, as a result of :
    • your stay at the accommodation and/or
    • making use of the facilities of the accommodation
    irrespective of whether the loss, damage, cost, expenses, claims, injuries or food indisposition which you may suffer arises from:
    • any negligent or otherwise acts and/or
    • omissions of the owner of the premises and or any of his employees and/or any other party appointed or contracted by the owner in connection with the activities, and/or maintenance and or business of the accommodation; but excluding
    • intent or gross negligence, of the owner of the accommodation and / or any of his employees and/or any other party appointed or contracted by the owner of the accommodation in connection with the activities, and/or maintenance and/or business of the accommodation;
    • That your stay at the accommodation and/or your use of the facilities of the accommodation is at your own risk and you voluntary choose to accept all the risks related thereto.

Data
Any data collected as a result of your booking will be stored in accordance with the provisions of current Data Protection legislation.
